Normand & Thomson (Hillend) Ltd staff can co-operate with and assist the customer’s engineering staff from the initial to the final stages, while its Drawing Office can be responsible for all arrangements and detail drawing work of factory built items. In addition, the services of experienced engineers are available for the measuring up, fabricating, welding and if where necessary, final installation on site.

The pipework, generally in stainless steel, carbon steel, copper and plastic, covers all bores. The stainless steel is supplied in both thin wall metric and nominal bore pipe. We can supply a range of stainless and carbon steel pipe work completed and flanged ready for site erection.

A major part of our business is in the complete installation, modification and repair of tanks and process and service pipe work. As a complimentary service to the supply of factory manufactured items and stock, we can offer to erect and install them, as well as the products of others. To assist with our installation and handling services we operate our own 15 ton Mobile Crane, several forklifts and a range of ‘cherry pickers’.

Our factory is equipped with up-to-date welding and profiling machinery including ORBITAL TIG, MIG, M.M.A., TIG and Oxy-Acetylene. Coded welding in both stainless and carbon steels to BS EN 288, BS EN ISO 15614, and ASME IX can be undertaken.

Our skilled workforce is capable of manufacturing almost all your fabrication needs in stainless steel, carbon steel, copper and aluminium. We can manufacture to drawings and/or samples.
